At the beginning of March, Human Plus launched a call for support for Greece affected by the corona pandemic. The country was particularly affected by the deep recession the country is in and the collapsing income from tourism and business. Corona aggravates the already precarious supply situation and led to real emergency situations.
Human Plus was able to support large medical care centers, facilities and organizations thanks to the financial supporters of the call. On Friday, July 24, another 16.5 ton truck was sent to Greece. Dressing materials such as medication, baby food, baby milk, food, hygiene products, incontinence aids and school furniture were loaded for hospitals, non-profit organizations and primary schools.
The truck will be unloaded in Thessaloniki on July 29 and the various aids will be delivered to the following clinics, facilities and institutions in the next few days:
- GENERAL HOSPITAL “AGIOS PAYLOS” IN THESSALONIKI: receive gloves and various special associations for emergencies
- ΚΟΙΝΩΦΕΛΕΣ ΙΔΡΥΜΑ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΡΟΦΙΜΩΝ THESSALONIKI [Charitable Food Bank Foundation] receive incontinence aids, baby milk and baby food.
- ΚΟΙΝΩΦΕΛΕΣ ΙΔΡΥΜΑ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΡΟΦΙΜΩΝ DRAMA [Charitable Food Bank Foundation]: receive incontinence aids, food, baby food, baby milk, hygiene products and detergents.
- ΚΟΙΝΩΦΕΛΕΣ ΙΔΡΥΜΑ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΡΟΦΙΜΩΝ ATHENS [Charitable Food Bank Foundation]: receive food, baby food and baby milk
- ΜΑΖΙ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΠΑΙΔΙ [Family Support Center “MAZI GIA TO PAIDI”]: receive baby food and milk
- HEALTH CENTERS IN SIDIROKASTRON AND RODOPOLIS: receive gloves and various special associations for emergencies.
- FOR THE POOR: incontinence aids, hygiene products, detergents, food and clothing.
- FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOLS OF SERRES: School furniture (children’s chairs and children’s tables).
Our project partner “Stand By Me Lesvos” in Lesbos: receives school furniture (children’s chairs and children’s tables) for the refugees at Camp Moria.
Human Plus thanks the donors in particular, and mentions in particular the generous support from Mr. Constantine Papazissis
and the ATHINAIKI SA team, who will transport the relief supplies free of charge throughout Greece.
You too can give us concrete support and do something for your compatriots.
Human Plus helps – specifically and quickly – so do they.
