The health system in Greece is about to collapse! Doctors are leaving the country, the expenditure in the system is sinking and the stagnation of the investment into the clinics is enormous. Payments to under-funded physicians are not uncommon and poverty of old age, which denies the need for medication and treatment for many people in need.
Greek people need help, Human Plus helps!
On 15 February, Human Plus received 21 tons of relief supplies, such as beds, medical equipment, dressings and medication, the Hospital of Gennimatas in Thessaloniki and three other health centers as well as to Physicians’ and Pharmacy Houses of Solidarity. We sent Babymilk and nutrition, as well as textiles and materials for street kitchen.
We want to expand our commitment and are planning the rehabilitation of two health centers in Athens and Thessaloniki. Human Plus is in preparation for the comprehensive measure to be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Athens.
If you want to help us with this task, we will reach the goal of helping people who are not even able to afford the basic medical care in old age…
